The Jan Harrell Workshop is limited to twelve students. Cost for the five days is $850.

Her 35 years of teaching at the prestigious Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Houston have honed her skills, experience and proficiency to a level beyond our wildest dreams. “Across disciplines, artists have long incorporated multiple sources into their work, using a variety of techniques. In this workshop, free yourself from the limited vocabulary of commercially-prepared screens and add layered meaning to your enamel work. In this fast paced 5 day workshop, we will construct an inexpensive light box and then make personally created screens. Then the fun begins!.”
Jan will show the many ways to use the screens on flat and curved surfaces, as well as demo many of the methods she has innovated and developed over the last 35 years. Learn how to use these techniques to take your work to a whole new level.
